Filed in: Podcast

After a nearly two year hiatus, we are BACK with The Brand Files and today we’d love to share about our rebrand and how we knew it was time for a visual refresh.

Branding + Web Design Agency Rebrand

  • From Solo to Team: Over the past 7 years, we’ve grown from a one-woman show into a powerhouse creative team. With that kind of growth, it was time to elevate our brand so it truly reflects who we’ve become.
  • A Brand That Matches the Experience: We deliver high-end, luxury branding + website experiences, but our old branding didn’t fully convey that. Now, our look feels elevated, confident, and fun—while still exuding professionalism.
  • Creative Alignment in Action: During our rebrand, some of our team members submitted nearly identical Pinterest boards for inspiration. It was a “great minds think alike” moment—and proof that our team is completely aligned on the vision for where this business is headed.
  • Symbols That Tell a Story: Client experience is everything to us, so we carried over elements from our original brand that represented hospitality—like the pineapple. Historically a symbol of luxury and welcome, the pineapple also has a personal tie to Jade’s time at SCAD in Savannah, Georgia. We paired it with a palm tree in our updated look to reflect our warmth, service, and a touch of vacation-level ease.
  • Personal Brand, Elevated: In 2024, Jade worked with Stylist & Personal Brand Coach Charla Corn Barrett to curate a personal style for stage appearances. That process made it clear that our business brand needed the same elevated, eye-catching energy.
  • An Iconic Shoot for a New Era: Jade booked an Iconic Photoshoot with Charla & Emily to capture new branding photos for the website. The result? Headshots and visuals that feel powerful, confident, and perfectly aligned with our updated brand identity.
  • A Perfectly Timed Launch: Early in 2025, Jade finished writing The On Brand Blueprint—a book dedicated to helping entrepreneurs create a brand that attracts their ideal audience. We knew there was no way we were launching this milestone with a website that didn’t feel like us. Our team worked tirelessly to complete the rebrand, launch the new website, and debut our new photos—just in time for the book release. It was a lot of work, but the results were absolutely worth it.

Tips for a Rebrand:

  • Outsource for Fresh Perspective: Sometimes we’re so close to our business that it’s hard to see what it really needs. That’s why we brought in our own team talent! Katy designed our new branding and website while Jade played the role of client, providing feedback and approvals along the way.
  • Embrace the Phases: A rebrand doesn’t have to be “done” on launch day. There are countless branded assets that take time to update. We approached ours in phases—focusing on the non-negotiable “must-haves” for launch, and saving smaller updates for phase two—because quality execution matters more than rushing perfection.

How to Know if It’s Time to Rebrand

Your brand doesn’t tell the whole story. From your mission to your values, the heart of your business should come through in your branding. If those elements are missing, it’s time for a refresh.

Your brand feels like old clothes that just don’t fit anymore. You’ve outgrown it—it doesn’t reflect who you are now or the level of work you’re producing.

Your business has evolved. The services you offer, the clients you serve, and the way you operate look different than when you started, but your brand hasn’t caught up.

Your visuals don’t match your value. The overall aesthetic of your business should align with the price point and market you’re aiming for. If it doesn’t, it’s time to elevate.

Your brand is too tied to you. If your brand relies solely on your personal identity and doesn’t represent your team or the broader vision, you may need to expand its scope.

You’re attracting the wrong clients. As your ideal client evolves, your brand should evolve with them—so the right people feel instantly drawn in.

Our Rebrand: The Brand Board

How things look impacts how we feel about it. Your brand is the first impression of your business and should be evolving with you over time.

If aspects of your business have changed, it could be time for you to refresh your brand. If you’re not sure, we’d love to chat with you and see if it’s a good time. Reach out via Instagram or our website contact form and we can get started.
