PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS WATCHING

One of the biggest realizations I had is that people are watching you more than you realize. On social media, in person, even through word of mouth—people are drawing inspiration from you and paying attention to how you show up.

At the event, I actually had this moment that really hit home for me. The keynote speaker was talking about entrepreneurial traits like positive mindset. And she started pointing out people in the audience as examples of those traits. Suddenly, my photo went up on the screen, and she said I was an example of positive mindset. Honestly, that felt like the biggest compliment. Because as entrepreneurs, we’re often in our own heads, second-guessing, being hard on ourselves. But that moment was a reminder: how you carry yourself does make an impression, even when you don’t realize it.

HOW TO EMBODY YOUR BRAND AT AN EVENT

So let’s talk about what it actually looks like to fully embody your brand at events—or even in your everyday business. I’ve broken it down into three big ways.

1. Your Aura + Energy
How do you make people feel? Do you encourage them? Do you leave them better than you found them? For me, that’s always a priority. I want to be a positive part of someone’s day. That energy is part of my brand.

2. Your Visual Identity
I was super intentional with how I dressed at Sales Mastery Live. Every day, I wore something that felt authentic to me but also tied back to our brand—lots of pink, bold and maximalist accessories, eye-catching shoes. And people noticed. Multiple people said, “You look so on brand.”
That consistency builds recognition. People start to expect that vibe from you, and it makes you memorable.

3. Your Leave-Behinds
One of my favorite things is creating little branded touches that people take home. Last year, I gave out “Websites for Sales Girls” cards with claw clips. This year, we handed out our book, The On Brand Blueprint, with a branded bookmark inside.
People were so surprised we were giving away a full book. But here’s the thing: it left a lasting impression. They didn’t just leave with a business card—they left with something valuable that tells our story.

THE TAKEAWAY

Here’s the truth: when you attend an event—or honestly, in any interaction with your business—don’t just show up.

Fully embody your brand.

That means:

-the way you interact with people

-how you present yourself visually

-the little experiences you create for others

When all those pieces work together, you don’t just blend in. You become magnetic, memorable, and people start associating those positive feelings with your brand.

And that is how you stand out in a room, build deeper connections, and leave a lasting impression.
