Introducing The Learning Lounge

When Casey came to us, she was preparing to open The Learning Lounge, her brick and mortar learning space dedicated to supporting individuals with dyslexia through Orton Gillingham and EBLI methods. She was ready to step into the world with a professional brand and website that reflected her expertise and her deeply rooted belief in holistic education. Her biggest goal was to be seen as the “go to” expert who takes a whole child approach to literacy, honoring both academic growth and emotional well being.
Casey knew that the impact she creates goes far beyond teaching reading skills. Her work integrates nervous system awareness, trauma informed practices, and a mindful environment that helps each child feel safe, supported, and capable. To communicate that level of care and competence, she needed a brand presence that matched the depth of her mission.
Our Creative Direction and Plan of Action
Before we ever opened our design tools, we focused on understanding the heart of Casey’s work. We started with a strategy call, digging into her audience, vision, and long term goals to ensure her brand foundation was aligned with her unique approach to holistic education. This conversation set the tone for everything that followed.
From there, we created a mood board that captured the calm, mindful, and confident energy she wanted her brand to embody. Because her work bridges the worlds of adults and children, we curated a color palette of muted primary tones that felt peaceful yet playful. This balance supported the message of holistic education by visually connecting both the nurturing and the knowledgeable sides of her expertise.
Next came branding. We crafted a logo and submark that felt confident, approachable, and versatile. These assets were delivered in multiple variations so The Learning Lounge could use them seamlessly across print materials, signage, and digital platforms. Every element was built to reinforce the message that Casey’s teaching environment is safe, grounded, and rooted in the whole child experience.
Once the brand identity was complete, we moved into website design. The goal was twofold: position Casey as the expert she is and create a resource that parents could navigate with ease during what can often be an overwhelming search for support. We wrote and designed the site to feel educational, reassuring, and deeply aligned with her holistic education philosophy. To explore the full experience, check out the Learning Lounge website here.
The Final Result
When we presented the final website, Casey sent us the sweetest email. She shared that she cried the moment she saw everything come together because it not only reflected her work but also gave her the confidence boost she needed as she stepped into this new chapter. You can read her full quote below. Messages like this remind us why we do what we do.
